A440F ATF controlstick stickpipe.housing bypass open where to connect ? ?

My HJ60 Automatic ATF control Stick is in a pipe going to the A440F Transmission. approx. 10cm below the top of the DipStick / ATF ControlStick is a very short juntion/ bypass pipe ending open in the air but has a groove to hold a rubber pipe .....QUESTION: where is that rubberpipe bypass for ? where is it suppose to connect ? and is it possible that ATF pressure can go loose via that open juntion, so changing
gear automatic ( especially in the Morning when cold ) is connected to that missing connection rubber pipe ?? please advice, even the Landcruiser 60 Series Manual has in its 17 pages Automatic Transmission nothing written about, and in Tanzania i am the ONLY one driving a 60 Series Automatic ....maybe few people in Tanzania have a 80 Series Automatic.
